Hardness Depth Analysis

All of the technical development and expertise used to create Ripper37 amounts to nothing if the blade doesn't live up to, and exceed, expectations in the real world, so we tested Ripper37 against four leading manufacturers of timber ripping blade.

Hardening that does not extend to sufficient depth on each tooth limits the number of re-grinds that can be performed, causing a loss of performance after a few re-grinds, and shortening the life of the blade. Conversely, hardening teeth too deep into the body of the blade increases the likelihood of the blade cracking and breaking. In this test the hardness depth of all the nearest Ripper37 rivals were measured to show that Ripper37 achieves the optimum hardness depth to give the maximum number of re-grinds, and superior, bandsaw performance and life.
